Jenny Oaks Baker She is described as a "masterful" violinist, and we are thrilled to have her performing Barber's "Violin Concerto," and Cardon's "Shaker Fantasia" with us in November. She retired as the first violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra in 2007 and lives in Northern Virginia. The ASO will also be performing Copland's "Appalachian Spring" and Mendelssohn's "Symphony No. 3," also known as the "Scottish Symphony."
